Provision in Burundi

Little update on progress of the Burundi farm. This year the farm had an excellent harvest and they have now cultivated and replanted. With the proceeds from the Church has been able to buy clothes for the children and help the families with food that have taken the children into their homes. The purpose of the farm is for the church to support those in need, children with no direct family and those whose partners have died. The The land has now been cultivated and new a crop planted ready for the next harvest.

Recently Pastor Matthew explained to me that many of the children were getting sick with malaria and having to be in hospital quite frequently. The Church cares for 128 children in need. The children have been sleeping with no mosquito nets over them and that is quite common in rural life, a mosquito net is a luxury and yet life saving. If you haven’t got the money to eat then food is the priority of course. It is a pure joy to be able to support this program in Burundi. Our prayer is that after the farm becoming more established it will provide fully for the community.

We thought we could buy some nets for the children to support their health and wellbeing. This last week Pastor Matthew has been out to the village to distribute and they love them as you can see from the photos also we discovered that another local Pastor from nearby village was able to give some blankets that he had spare as the children were sleeping with no blankets only their coats to cover them. I love it when communities work together to bring change.

We were able to buy 60 nets with what we sent previously and we still need to but some more - so we are sending this across today. We are also sending some for school books and things that the children need to attend school their education is really important opens up their future hope.

Thanks for your generosity and giving this has made it possible for us to help in some small. We give the praise to God as when we pray and move in faith then He adds to what we do making provision for those in need. We see this pattern time and time again in dire situations. - God brings hope.

Thank you once again bless you.
