House of Joy

We’ve had the opportunity this month to renovate a lovely lady’s house in Bugesera district of Rwanda.

Delia‘s house was falling down around her and becoming dangerous to live in. She has has been through great adversity in life from being seriously abused because of our disabilities of not being able to speak or hear. She has a son who sadly is battling with addiction and currently away in a recovery center, leaving her very vulnerable and deeply embedded in poverty. Pastor John had already met and noticed her big need for help.

When John asked me if we could help her God had already been speaking to me about renovating another house and so it was our pleasure to do so. We have also been able to purchase the much needed mattress and blankets so she can sleep comfortably as well as safely through the night time. She can now enjoy her home and feel some peace and tranquility in her life.
