Pop Up Training for Young Women
In early May Pastor G in India asked if we could help some young women some of whom are widows with small children learn how to sew so they could gain a skill and be able to provide an provide an income for their families.
As we have worked alongside Church in Rwanda for over 10 years and we know that this type of training works well and we agreed to help kick start the idea. We provided four sewing machines, materials and other equipment to have at the Church which is the women will be learning. They are all from the local surrounding community. They will go daily and grow together in their skills. Someone from the Church has kindly offered to help train them and they will complete their course in the next five months. This pop up training has literally begun within a week and is surely Gods love toward those in need in a very real way.
The young woman are fast learners and are enjoying the learning and being together. Some of the single Mums are very young so Iām really happy they have come to learn and bring their small children with them. Others who are sadly widowed are often suspected to carry a curse wherever they go making them isolated and separated from the help they need in hard times. People are fearful this curse may fall on them. To come to the Church and be accepted and cared for practically can be so healing in many ways.
Thank you for those who helped to make it possible to kick start this off.
