The Language of Heaven

Written by Richard Fenning

There are 6500 languages on earth today and now with all the media facilities never have people been communicating so much and knowledge on earth is increasing at an incredible speed, if you speak 6 languages you are called a hyper polyglot. John Milton the 16th century poet spoke 11 languages and Arguelles speaks 36 languages and I speak 2, English and my language form heaven, the Bible names this speaking in tongues.

In an online prayer last week a friend said we speak with one voice as the gathering prayed in English and the tongues of heaven and I thought wow how powerful is that remembering that Jesus said if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for it shall be done for them by my father in heaven then my mind went to John the Baptist who declared in John 1 v 23 that he was'' the voice of one crying in the wilderness make straight the way of the lord.”

It seems that the wilderness is a great place to declare the word of the Lord even Jesus himself spoke the word of the prophet Isaiah when led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit where he countered the tempting of the devil with the word or language of heaven. From the place of nothingness we can speak life a bit like at creation where God spoke into the darkness and said let there be light and so on and so forth till all was fully created, no wonder Proverbs 18: 21 advises that death and life are found in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit from it; I know if I say I am going to plant bean seeds then beans are the fruit we get to eat.

We know with mission on the move that our language is important as God is calling us to speak life and creativity whilst we are being challenged to tame our tongue. Again, in an online prayer hub it was mentioned that in the wilderness of our generation we are the voice of the lord that’s who we are like John the Baptist. We believe God is doing a new thing not only with mission on the move but for all who will receive Jesus for in him in we live and move and have our being and that anyone who is in Christ ( the anointed one ) is a new creation and old things have passed away and all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17.

It was only when there was revelation and understanding of the word sown In the parable of the sower that there was a harvest up to a 100%  so while we may not understand most of the languages of the world let us pray that our understanding of God’s word will multiply and as we speak with one voice the good news of the kingdom of God that Jesus is our saviour, healer, baptiser in the Holy Spirit and soon coming king that many will call upon the name of Jesus and be saved out of darkness into his eternal light.

While shopping last week I saw an old lady trying to reach something from the top shelf but could not get it so in her anger shouted out “JESUS” at this point I found my voice and said “I follow Jesus can I help you?” her face lit up and she said “yes thanks” and so I was able to help her with a couple of items.  I am sensing that as we remain prayerful we will remain alert and bold and speak up and out for Jesus as we all move around and together we are many voices across the nations speaking about one Jesus in many different ways .

Some revivals are breaking out in the USA at the moment and it was noted that the students were praying in different languages and of course this is the Holy Spirit and unlike natural language there is no limit to the language of heaven and I thought we know what man can achieve by speaking 6500 languages ! What on earth can be achieved by speaking the limitless languages of heaven. As we continue to worship Jesus, pray in Jesus name and preach Jesus much power is being released on earth from heaven for with God all things are possible as the old lady reaching beyond herself found out.
