Making a difference together
It has been our joy to be able to support the children connected with the farm in Burundi by providing clothes, shoes and books for schooling. We do this through Pastor Matthew who oversees the farm and Church outreach.
The children gathered for a day of food, games and distribution of clothes and shoes. This day was a combined effort - with the local Church providing food, Matthew along with ourselves brought clothes for the children and shoes. It made for an incredible day of collaborative ministry and some very happy children.
The farm is going really well and getting ready to produce a really good crop this this year. This will be able to help pay for school fees and supplies that the foster families need as they bring the children up, especially those who don’t have original parents anymore.
We love the heart of Pastor to Matthew who through his evangelistic ministry planted this Church and met all these children in need. The Churches to heart to buy the land for the farm enabled them to do so always with the vision to support the children who had no family. Our small contribution has been for the last few years to buy seed and fertiliser for the farm to help get it established.
Thank you so much for your help with this wonderful initiative.
Our aim is to get it to a place to where it can be self sufficient. We have a plan to send Matthew for some training on more organic farming that will help the farm in the long run to produce an amazing harvest. We know other groups who are doing farming in this way and having a huge success.
Thank you once again.
