A Window into Fixed

This year Fixed was an outstanding conference and was packed with many addicts, former addicts and those that work with addiction. Each year they receive insightful teaching and equipping as well as an opportunity for many to begin a faith journey.

My seminar this year was about how to turn the dial down on your addiction. As part of the session I shared about the power of prayer and as a result one young man raised his hand and asked if I would be the kind of person that would pray for him right now if he wanted that. My response is always going to be a yes to that. I invited him to receive prayer along with others if they so wished. It was quite a powerful and moving moment to witness someone’s vulnerability and desperate need for God to intervene. Always such a privilege to be part of this great ministry, hosted by Proclaim Trust.

One of the highlights for Fixed for myself each year being a part of that team is the people I meet. I’ve grown great relationships with people who run projects and outreaches across the UK. I get to sit down with them and chat about how things are going which is always so encouraging for me, hearing how well people are doing. From what I see and hear I would say there is a revival of faith happening amongst those communities.

This year, my friend John Phillips from Beacon Light publishing has produced an outreach booklet, it’s my story of coming to faith. I am thrilled with it and really thankful to him for working with me to produce it.

The booklet will be distributed in women’s prisons across the UK by Beacon Light and can be used in rehabilitation centres as well as in day-to-day Street outreach. So, it’s a big thank you John for making this outreach possible. I’m sure many will be able to meet with Jesus through it. If you would like your ministry/outreach/ Church to have some copies of this book, then please email Beacon Light .
