Peer learning leads to compassion
Over the course of last year we were able to do multiple learning seminars for leaders in India. Sessions included about calling, leadership, local church, pastoral care, growing disciples to last and many other different topics. This year we will continue to journey with these leaders. Them being able to come together and learn from each other has great value. What we do and say is a drop in ocean but their togetherness is what beings support, courage and stamina.
It is through our connection with the training network that we have been able to help people keep warm - when winter comes it can very cold and it is hard for those who earn a little money or are elderly and beyond working to buy what they need. The leaders who attend our seminars are all from rural villages and we have been able to buy blankets for people that live in those remote places. Some literally live in makeshift homes and struggle to survive day to day.
We are so very pleased to be able to do this and to assist the church in India where we can our plan is to continue this year to journey with them and currently we’re preparing to do a small training session up in the hills for a very rural bunch of leaders who can’t travel and attend the network days - so that be really good fun to meet a new group of people in a different context.
Thank you to those of you make this happen. Together we can encourage leaders in isolation and help the poor around the world so thank you so much.
