Freedom Project, Kigali

I began this outreach through hearing a fight erupt outside when Richard and I were holding a leaders training day in Kigali fight. Twenty women were chasing one to beat her. These women sell themselves, drink and take drugs I was told. So I met those women the next day and from there we launched the Freedom Project for the Church of God’s people in Kigali. To help the women to leave that way of living which is so destructive for them and their children and to help the Church embrace the community outside the front door. All these years later the project continues and together we have now helped many women.

They give me the credit but it is not true. I see the potential for their change and say come on give it go and together with the support of the local Church and God change will happen. These women’s stores are like hidden treasure and of great value.
