Lives transformed

This month the team in Kigali have been preparing for the annual graduation of the women from the Freedom Ministry. Many of the women come from a background of hardship including abuse, street work and poverty. They come onto the program of change which lasts a year, the training includes learning to sew and through learning a new skill self esteem is ignited and grown throughout the year.

The women learn to work together rather than competing against each other. They learn to care for themselves as sew garments noticing detail and design. All these things we may think are small but in a community environment that Pastor Jeanine and the Church of Gods people provide it leads to greater changes become possibilities.

You can watch the video and see the impact of each woman who is gifted a machine - she can go on to provide for her family, pay school fees and rent of the rooms they live in.
